My family moved the summer before our senior year, so I actually graduated from PJ Jacobs HS in Stevens Point, WI, but feel much more connected to Fridley. I attended college at UW-Milwaukee. I was then married for 22 years and divorced. I was a single mother to my daughter and son for 7 years. Then I met and married Tom Kranig and we have been married for 18 years. Together we have 6 kids and 10 grandkids. My daughter's and son's kids are the only ones in the immediate area, and Tom's are spread out around the state and country.

I worked for a number of years in accounting before I had my kids, after my divorce, and then after Tom and I got married. I retired in 2006 and now babysit grandkids.

Almost 4 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy, chemo and radiation. At this point in time, I have been cancer free for 3 years.

Besides babysitting, Tom and I enjoy traveling the country by train, visiting family and friends, have been on 2 cruises, and attend all the grandkids soccer games, softball games, and dance recitals.

I am looking forward to reconnecting with my former classmates at Fridley High - can't believe it will be 50 years.
